I am experiencing the same issue with the same device. I have contacted support via a ticket for a replacement as the product is under warranty. I too cannot get any power whatsoever, even after shorting the red pins. I use Ubuntu and it must have gone into hibernation. When I looked at the Nuc at first, three blue lights were blinking. Then I turned it off via the power button, and now it will not turn on again.

Re: Intel AC7260 limited access after sleep
<<The simple fact is I have tried every Microsoft, Lenovo, and Intel driver. Also just noting to those with Lenovo products you have yet an entirely separate issue.>>
I'm now wondering whether there are different hardware versions of this card that are provided to the various vendors. Does Lenovo, for example, get a card that is changed in some way from what might released to general retail, or Dell, or SammySung, etc.
If that were true, then troubleshooting these problems, not to mention even discussing them, becomes a challenge.
Re: Where do I put arduino sketch on SD card?
Depends on the image you have on the SD card whether it's supported or not.
If supported the Arduino IDE should upload the sketch to the /sketch folder and rename the binary to sketch.elf
Re: Building Linux image for Galileo Gen 2 in Ubuntu 14.04
as long as the image is created I wouldn't worry too much
Re: Cannot Acecss Galelio LINUX OS
more important than cable colors are what they are connected to. You should measure with a multimeter the connections.
LAN cable works fine if you use e.g. the IoT devkit image on https://software.intel.com/en-us/iot/getting-started where a ssh server is already listening
Re: Where do I put arduino sketch on SD card?
The image I'm using is the one found here (https://software.intel.com/en-us/iot/downloads) which is the Linux image with IoTkit + LighttPD. So are you saying that if I power up my galileo, booting from the SD card and then upload a sketch via the micro USB, that it will automatically save the sketch to the SD card for use on future power ups?
Re: Where do I put arduino sketch on SD card?
yes - it will save one sketch. If you put another sketch there it obviously will overwrite the former one but will keep 1 old sketch as sketch.elf.old
Stuck on acceptance of site use terms
I am trying to view a page on the intel website, however it comes up with:
Intel® Developer Zone Additional Terms
Acceptance of Site Use Terms
...
Every time I click "continue" at the bottom of the page, it just reloads the same page over and over and over. It wont let me log out or go to any other page. What gives?
Re: Intel HD 4000 Screen brightness problem
Hi Sowmya,
The laptop is working fine now. I installed a lot of small updates from Windows Update and it seems like that did the trick.
Can't believe I didn't check that option before i complained . Thanks for the replies and your help!
Re: NUC DN2820FYKH: WARNING: Processor thermal trip at boot
Can someone from Intel please repond on this? I have a number of these machines destined for signage applications which need to be returned if they can't be rebooted without needing someone to press enter.....

Clevo W740SU Notebook with Intel 5200 Iris Pro @ 4k 60hz, popping, flickering and blackouts
Hello,
I have the above notebook with Windows 8.1 64 bit connected to a Philips Brilliance 288p 4k screen (3840 x 2160@60 hz, displayport 1.2 mode selected in monitor on-screen menu). I have the latest bios for the notebook (1.03.04) and use the latest graphics driver from intel (15.36.3.64.3907) from 8/29/2014. I connect the monitor using a mini displayport to displayport cable (manufactured by Deltaco, type DP-1110).
The problem is that I get occasional popping sounds, flickering (and other gliches) and even blackouts lasting a couple of seconds. These problems were worse with earlier version of Intel drivers, but still continue with the latest drivers. The same probelms occur if chose to use 3840 x 2160 @ 59hz or even 30hz (which I prefer not to do).
Could the problem be that the signal strength from the Intel 5200 Iris Pro is not sufficient? This, of course, is speculation from my part but I have definitely noticed that the receipt of a text message by my Iphone 5C can induce a black out lasting a few seconds. I will definitely try to find a higher quality mini DP 1.2 cable (already tried another, did no help)... As the problems were worse with the earlier drivers, it would seem to me that this cannot only be cable issue.
Re: DN2820FYKH wake from S5 with remote
By manually you mean the timer settings for S5 in the BIOS right?
But that has nothing to do with remote wake up. My Problem is that i use OpenELEC on my NUC and it would be nice if i can turn on my NUC by remote. And some user report that this is working on their NUC.
But thanks i will try earlier BIOS
Re: Galileo BSP1.0.2 build instructions
The Quark SoC BSP build guide version 1.0.2 is (a bit hidden) here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23962&lang=eng
https://www.google.com/webhp?q=edkii+update+quark
It has documentation fixes useful for 1.0.1 as well.
D54250WYKH Cannot power up
Hi, my Intel NUC D54250WYKH cannot power up after pressing the blue power button. It happened after my NUC was hanged and I have to off the main power switch and restart. After I reconnected the power, I cannot power up using the blue power button on the top of the NUC. I had checked the incoming power with the multimeter and found there is 19V current coming in. I also checked the power connector next to the power input connector which is on the motherboard. There is 19V current on that connector. I had tried power up using wake on LAN and also shorting the red color pin on the header next to the internal USB header but not working. I also tried remocing the jumper for the BIOS reset but still cannot power up. Below is the detail of my NUC :
Model : D54250WYKH
RAM : Kingston 8GB DDR3 1600 Mhz 1.35V KAC-MEMKL/KVR16LS x 2
HDD : SSD 2.5" Trancend 256 GB SSD370 SATA 3
Re: why Intel® Quark SoC X1000 chip get hot fast once it powered?
for temperature as mentioned you can just send the output of "cat /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp"
Re: Intel AC7260 limited access after sleep
It's not installed on my system.
Replace Android with Windows or Linux Distro
Hi,
I got a tablet running on an Intel Atom Bay Trail-T Z3745 Soc. The tablet comes shipped with Android. My questions is, is it possible to replace android with Windows or a Linux Distro. How to do this? For now I only can boot into Droidboot Provision OS and the Recovery boot. There is no Bios/UEFI like on laptops and desktops or Windows Based tablets.
Thank you
Re: Intel 82579LM drops to 10Mbps from Gigabit, refuses to go back
I've had this exact same problem with an Intel(R) 82579LM Gigabit Network Adapter onboard my Dell OptiPlex 790 running both Windows 8 and 8.1.
I've installed the recent (08/08/14) driver release "Network Adapter Driver for Windows 8.1" (Intel® Download Center) and the issue seems to be resolved thus far.
Black bars on DN2820FYKH
I connected my DN2820 via an HDMI2VGA Adapter to my 4:3 Monitor running a resolution of 1280x1024 (Windows 7, 64 bit). The graphic engine of my nuc puts black bars on the left and right side, so i can't fill the hole monitor. The display also is not perfectly sharp. The name of the VGA-Adapter displayed in intel software is "Digitales Fernsehen LONTIUM". I switched to 4:3 setup, however in preview the graphic driver displays those black bars too. Where is the fault? Thanks in advance for all of your help.
