USB audio drivers aren't loaded by default, IIRC and that's what you see - no driver there to pick the device up, so the generic HID one reports. I can't recall the exact module names already, but you can try searching with something like "find /usr /lib* -name '*snd*'" on the board and then "modprobe"-ing them, then plugging the card in.
