I've recently purchased NUC7PJYH, which has the same issue (bios 0045, ubuntu 18.04 & 16.04). The system was unstable and freezed ocassionally, mostly during startup.

Since the mce error suggests a problem with the microcode update, which probably fixes infamous processor bugs, I've disabled Spectre and Meltdown mitigations in kernel by setting the following parameters in /etc/default/grub:

 

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="nopti nospec nospectre_v2"

 

then running update-grub and restarting.

 

No startup problems since then. Can you try it?

Hi. I have this same issue:

Laptop Dell Inspiron 7773

Wi-Fi Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165

Windows 10

 

I'm using hotspot on my mobile phone and internet is working just for 5 seconds and freeze for 1 minute and this looping again. When website is loading and I press Wi-Fi icon on task bar then website is loaded with full speed. Seems like Wi-Fi card is switching off by itself. I'm testing this card on Debian and working without any problem. No disconnection or freeze.

I've read your reply , but  the methods that 1274# metioned are:

1。rs2::software_device  

2。rs2_deproject_pixel_to_point

3。 use.bag file

1 and 2 are deal with stream .Can I use stream to deal with the saved ".raw"???????????

I don't save pointcloud data ,so i don't have ".bag" file.

Could you give me more details?
What do you mean "you don't get anything" when you try to analyse a file?  What happens when you open the .ulg file? Did you try several .ulg files?  Can you also send screenshots?

I've been trying to run the DSA, but it just says...

 

               Oops, something went wrong while trying to scan. Please try again, or see our FAQs for help.

 

There's nothing in the FAQs which seems relevant. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling DSA, with no change. Is there an error log file somewhere?

 

I'm running Windows 10 1809 on an HP Tower system. The same result occurs in Chrome (version 69), Edge and Firefox (version 62). IE simply leaves spinning icon running indefinite;y.

Recently I build a new desktop with ASUS Z370-f motherboard, I try to configure the bios for my Optane memory work as secondary drive for hdd, but my main m.2 ssd doesnt work. Would you mind to guide me how to set my bios to make it work?

Yes i'm seraching the CIM/SMI-S Provider for the RAID Controller RMS3AC160 which work with ESXi 6.7

 

Where can i found it ? Normaly i used one from LSI/Broadcom, but it seem that there's no one for ESXi 6.7 Version.

There is one option more to update bios. Use ifalsh utility. Download GKPPT10H.86A.0065.BI.zip Download BIOS Update [GKPPT10H.86A] . After extracting the zip file you will find bios and if;ash utility iFlash BIOS Update Instructions for Intel® NUC  . Prepare bootable USB (you may use Rufus) and copy the GK0065.bio and iflash files to this USB. you may include in autoexec.bat a command: IFLASH2 /PF GK0065.bio .

Remove the SSD (leave only SODIMM) and power ON the NUC.

kylead: Thank you for sharing those results.

Based on the pictures from both task manager and the Intel® processor diagnostics tool the processor seems to be just fine, the tool does an overall test on the unit, so if it passed that test then it is working without problems.
Additionally, it is showing 2 physical cores on both pictures, that is the way the processor should be working.

According to ASrock's web site, the latest BIOS version available is 2.50, please try the BIOS update and let us know the results:

Hi Leon,

 

Thanks that was a great tip. I've already made a boot stick with the bios on it and the tools.

The NUC wasn't booting from the USB stick (pressing F7 locked up the systems -> needed
to remove the power). But when I read your comment about removing the SSD i've got

triggered. The system did boot from USB and I was able to flash the BIOS.
