It passes their test on one possiblity: it's lab controlled without any RF interference induced. As such, if it works and connects fine, it's good to go. If they do a field test on a extremely congested area, it would've been moot since there's a bias that due to RF congestion and because of that the connection isn't stable. Unfortunately, WiFi isn't a life threatening situation unlike vehicles so don't expect a recall at all.
