I recently got a NUC D54250WYKH with associated memory / HDD as suggested by Amazon. I got it and after at little troubleshooting got Ubuntu Trusty installed and working. If left alone for a while, it seemed to kernel panic, but I assumed this was likely because I needed to update the BIOS.
However, after leaving it off overnight, it is now unable to boot at all. When I press the power button it turns blue and seems to try and boot. You can hear the fans spin up and the power button is blue generally for between one and five seconds. Then it shuts down for a few seconds, and then it tries to boot again in an endless loop of attempts. The only way to make it stop is to disconnect the power entirely.
I have it plugged into a monitor, but it never brings up any sort of display or shows the screen to enter setup / update the BIOS etc.
I have tried reseating the memory modules, network / bluetooth chip, and hard drive, none of which resulted in any change in behavior.
