@joe_intel
It happens whenever NUC outputs at 50 Hz. It doesn't matter if you are in the BIOS or in the OS.
For example, in any OS, when the picture is at a refresh rate other than 50 Hz everything is ok.
But when the picture needs to change at a refresh rate of 50 Hz (for instance when I play a DVD movie file @25/50p) I get a blue screen (no display).
Then, I have to connect the NUC directly to the TV, in order to change the video output back to the previous refresh rate and get the display.
No problem when the refresh rate changes from 24, 30 to 60 or 60 to 24, 30 Hz.
I have tried Windows 7 and OPENELEC but the problem has nothing to do with the OS.
It's only at 50 Hz that the issue occurs, either when booting, or accessing the BIOS or the OS.
NUC simply does not work with Onkyo AVR when it outputs at this specific refresh rate!
Is this a problem that can be fixed? I'm asking this (again) because it has been a really long time and Intel's engineering department has not provided a solution.
This is so sad because I really need to use my NUC. Other than this issue, it is an excellent HTPC!
