I too experience the same 1 second of splash screen. I am running Crucial M500 240Gb plus 2 x 4Gb Crucial ram with Opensuse 13.1 Linux OS. The system really flies have never experienced a full desktop boot so quick before. I fear however all is not as it should be with the bios as many attempts to access boot order have failed and it seems unlikely that I can succeed with the very brief splash screen. Currently on BIOS 27 which applied from new, not attempted an update to 28.
