Joe,
Where are you talking about specifying extended mode? I was able to drag the mouse off the right edge of the screen onto the TV. If I dragged it back it did not show on TV (IE like it should have in clone mode). My TV is 1080i and my screen was set to 1366 x 768.
If the intel driver sent the pointer perfect, how can it not send the rest of the display? (same sending technology). I have been a software developer for 20+years (including assembler, c, c++ and Java). When I see all the problems being reported, I have to wonder what type of QA was done on the WIDI software? There are not a lot of different devices (WIFI receivers) Out there to test against, and the WIFI 802.11.nn is an old standard protocol. I don't understand why it does not work out of the box, just like the windows or Linux WIFI driver and a wireless modem?
When you talk about reset Intel® WiDi. I assume you mean the profile files the driver has created, will be deleted to start over. The software program itself cannot be "reset", unless you install a new software driver. The program does not change with your suggested reset right?
PS. as an aside, this intel site does not let you re-edit the heading line, only the text. If you make a typeo (as I did. I typed ptv1000 when I ment to type ptv2000) you cannot correct it.
