@joe_intel I understand your point Joe. However please bear in mind that nobody outside of high end techies really use intel widi because of the numerous hassles and unresolved issues, some of which date back to 2011. I am not surprised.
whereas everyone i see is using airplay, chromecast, roku streaming, etc. It's time for intel to accept that their "platform exclusive" tech has failed to catch on. I admit that
Intel widi is the best (or maybe only) tech to support high speed full screen mirroring for windows pc. But most of the time people don't need that. I would much rather
have that Intel had made it maybe less "techie" and more of platform independent - should have been easily able to stream content from my laptop, iphone, etc. with the press
of a button. 3rd party streaming like chromecast is available now, so please don't give an excuse that "Apple" does not support widi.
All I need is simple remote to stream content from web like youtube, netflix, amazon video, etc. The percentage of people (me included) who actually use intel widi because
of the full screen streaming is very very low. Yes I don't have scientific data to back this up, just empirical evidence. But even I have moved on from widi. It's too erroneous,
non-user friendly and not platform independent.
