Just joining this thread after finding that all of my digital signage computers using our new hardware platform (NUC Kit D34010WYK) that are scattered throughout the east coast are not accessible via TeamViewer if the TV is turned off. Our setup includes the NUC connected to a commercial display via an HDMI to mini HDMI cable.
I am using windows 7 embedded standard that is basically widows 7 pro.
I have done initial testing on one unit that I had access to. I tried to install driver 10.18.10.3643 and it took me two times to install it before it worked. Once the driver was working, I powered down the display and rebooted. I got the black screen.
I will keep testing but I am very concerned. I have over 100 nucs and I just ordered 50 more.
On a side note, when I first tried to install the new graphics driver (.3643) it seemed to just uninstall the graphics driver alltogether. I was left with the default windows display driver. With that driver in place, I was able to view the screen through TeamViewer with or without the monitor connected. Once I installed the new driver successfully I was not able to use TeamViewer when the TV was powered down.
