I have also a 2014 DELL XPS 12 with the same configuration and WIN 8.1 as described in the original post.
I cannot make my Netgear PTV3000 run.
PTV3000 was upgraded with latest firmware (2.4.38). Dell was upgraded with latest ProSet/Wireless Software (17.0.0.).
Other Devices (e.g. Samsung Galaxy S4) work with the PTV3000.
The Device is found by the notebook and I can even start the connection process and enter the WPS PIN which is displayed on the screen connected to the PTV3000. And the PTV3000 is added to the "Projectors", but then no further connection is possible...and I get a notification that there is a problem ("something went wrong, your display wouldn't connect").
I don't know what I could do to resolve this problem.
